In her figurative oil paintings, Sylvia Radford contends with identity and memory, with a particular focus on images of childhood. As part of her process, Sylvia deconstructs and reframes family photographs, using them to question how such images are seen and interpreted.

ABOUT SYLVIA
Born in Thailand, Sylvia, a British-Singaporean, is now based in the UK. In 2023, she was selected for the Contemporary Art Collectors Emerging Artist Programme and her work was shortlisted for Jackson’s Painting Prize. Her work was also awarded an Honourable Mention in the Contemporary Expressions Award 2023. Sylvia is currently studying for an MFA in Fine Art.
